Overview

The Iligan City Information and Communication Technology Conference (ICICT) is a conference in Information and Communications Technology managed by the College of Computer Studies, MSU-Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Iligan City and TVET schools dedicated to the advancement of the theory and practices in computing and closely related discipline. The First ICICT 2021 theme is “Glocalization and ICT”. Our spirit towards this conference is to promote ICT as a collaborator in today’s interdisciplinary works (researches or projects) for dealing with the Sustainable Development Goals’ issues. The conference will be held virtually as we are concerned about the safety and well-being of our participants in this COVID-19 situation.

The First ICICT 2021 theme is “Glocalization and ICT“. The theme emphasizes the importance of looking at our local context while anticipating global implications. The application of ICT to various aspects of our lives needs to contextualize considering our cultural and current infrastructure. Having a local context will help us shape our understanding of how to appropriately apply, use, and control ICT in a process that takes into account holistic and futuristic consequences. Our spirit towards this conference is to promote Computing as a collaborator in today’s interdisciplinary works (researches or projects) for dealing with the Sustainable Development Goals’ issues. Please check our conference tracks and scopes for more details.
